The physicians of Excelsior Pathology are board-certified by the American Board of Pathology in multiple subspecialties of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and have extensive experience, providing medical care to this region since 2013.
Elizabeth Plocharczyk, MD, MPH, FCAP, FASDP
Lead Pathologist & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Plocharczyk earned her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Chicago and her masters of public health and medical degree from Ohio State University. She completed residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and a fellowship in Dermatopathology also at Ohio State and has practiced in Ithaca since 2013. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Dermatopathology, and Clinical Informatics.
Beth is an active gardener, aikido instructor, and is a licensed commercial drone pilot.
Reza Golestani, MD, PhD, FCAP
Pathologist
Dr. Golestani earned his medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and doctoral degree at the University of Groningen followed by postdoctoral work in molecular imaging at Yale University. He completed residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Southern California, a fellowship in Oncologic Surgical Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering, and a fellowship in Breast Pathology at Yale University. He is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Reza enjoys soccer and the cinema.
